Re:Peterson pipes - 2008/02/03 09:24
Hello fellow pipesmoker,
For starters, know that Petersons are briar a natural product. I have several Peterson's in my collection and it's not hard to say why I like them. The price is a value compared to other pipes available on the market. Some say they are a little harder to "break in" but that hasn't been the case for me.
They also have a "dry system" and what we fondly call a "P" lip. If you go on the Peterson website, this is very well explained.
I'm not sure what price range you are looking for, but you can buy quality Petersons for under $100 in most retail shops. Once you start adding the silver or gold bands, tops and spigots, you start bringing up the price.
Do a little more homework, and start looking at all the available styles and colors. I don't believe you will be disappointed with a Peterson in your collection.
